We are very pleased to announce that the Capstone Foster Care Group, which Excel Fostering is a part of, is now owned by our employees through an Employee Ownership Trust. We took the decision to align our ownership and governance structure even more closely with our values, as we continue to build brighter futures for children and young people, who remain at the centre of all we do.
Employee Ownership Trusts have been shown to result in improved stakeholder engagement, employee wellbeing and a sense of achievement. The Trust ensures our independence for decades to come.
We feel that Trust status fits extremely well with foster care, as we are here for the benefit of all. It will enable even better support and investment in learning and development, for our carers and for our staff and therefore we believe will lead to even better outcomes for those in our care. It will also enable us to continue investing in the excellent work being done by the Capstone Care Leavers’ Trust.
