Our History and Vision

Excel Fostering was established in 2009 and since then we have been clear in our vision, and passionate about:

• Providing safe foster placements where any child or young person can thrive emotionally, acquire the skills necessary to achieve in education, be healthy and contribute positively to society.
• Supporting our foster carers with fostering training and support and, professional development.
• Listening to children, young people, foster parents, staff and local authorities to ensure quality services.

As an independent fostering agency, we bring many years of management, strategic and financial experience to Excel Fostering and, over the last decade, we have grown rapidly delivering fostering services across the North West in Lancashire and Cumbria. We started out as a small team, now have offices in Lytham St Annes and Burnley, with local support provisions in Cumbria. We are a local agency, offering you local support so you never have far to travel for training or to take part in support groups and, our social workers live and work in all corners of Lancashire.
