We are seeking a foster home for siblings like Harper and Harry, can you help?
Harper, 7, and Harry, 8, have been in care for 1 year. They originally came into care because their Mum had mental health issues and a learning disability, so was unable to care for them anymore
Harper and Harry have sadly been unable to be placed in the same foster home due to a lack of carers who are able to look after both siblings. We are now looking for a long-term placement to see them reunited and grow up together in the company of one another as this will help with emotional and development needs.
Harper is a bright young lady and enjoys dance, art and crafts, and drama. She has however been showing signs of disengagement and has become quieter during lessons at school. With the right carers supporting her with her self-esteem and work, she will have the confidence to attend school and excel at what she enjoys.
Harry loves all kinds of sports and keeping active, his favourite sports are football and tennis. He loves playing in groups and meeting new people. Harry has become more confident during the past 12 months and has come on leaps and bounds from when he was first placed into care. He does still ask about his sister and is showing signs of separation anxiety from being separated from his sister. He is hoping he can play with her again soon.
We are looking for a carer/s who can nurture and support siblings like Harper and Harry, make them believe in themselves and build trusting relationships with others, particularly adults.
